It's hard to imagine Palanga without the sea bridge. From the bridge, you can see the dunes, the beaches and the endless reaches of the sea. Here you can listen to the sound of the waves, hear the seagulls scream and watch the sunset.

At the end of the 19th century, holidaymakers used to go to a lot of trouble to get to Palanga. If they came to Liepaja or Klaipėda, they had to travel to Palanga by horse. That's when the Tiškevičius came up with the idea of building a pier for ships. However, after storms, the pier was covered with sand and after a few years it was unsuitable for shipping. Since 1892, the bridge has become a favourite place for walks. Time, sea waves and wind have damaged the structure. In 1998, a new bridge was built, 470 m long
