All of the attractions in Druskininkai and its surroundings are easily accessible by bicycle or scooter. The network of cycling paths stretches throughout the resort town, making it safe to explore with the whole family. With routes ranging from 6 km to 24 km, it's a great opportunity to discover new places.
A ride through the mysterious Raigardas Valley is especially worth your attention. This valley was even immortalized in one of M. K. Čiurlionis’s triptychs. Raigardas Valley is a landscape reserve that features the largest suffosion sinkhole (or "circus") in Lithuania. This geological phenomenon forms when underground water flows erode the ground beneath, creating a round-shaped depression, known in Latin as a “circus.” The area is wrapped in legends about a once-great city swallowed by the earth. It is said that a city once stood here, but sank into a sacred hollow. Even today, locals speak of the slopes of the Raigardas depression slowly sliding into a spring-filled abyss.
You’ll also find many scenic walking trails here—winding through fresh pine forests, along lake shores, and through other places of enchanting beauty. And for golf enthusiasts, Druskininkai offers a modern 18-hole golf course, “Vilkė.”
